Best bedtime routine during your period

Here are some tips to help you sleep more comfortably on your period.

Keep your bedtime routine consistent
Maintain a consistent sleep schedule even when you are on your period, this way your body is less likely to be affected by menstrual symptoms.

Keep yourself hydrated
Drink lots of water during the day, as it can help ease the menstrual bloating and slow down your intake a couple of hours before going to bed, to avoid bathroom runs at night.

Maintain your body temperature
When you have your period, your temperature can rise, causing night sweats and discomfort. Wear cotton nightwear as it will help to regulate your body temperature.

Sip and enjoy herbal teas
One should avoid caffeine, as it can make your mensuration cramps worse. In such a time, sip some Chamomile tea, for some soothing sleep and ginger tea to ease stomach pain.

Sleeping Positions
Experiment with different sleeping positions (such as sleeping on your side or your back instead of your stomach) to ease menstruation cramps.
